Mislevy (Department of Measurement, Statistics, and Evaluation
at the University of Maryland) and Ernest Pascarella at the University of Iowa.
SRI International, a nonprofit research institute, is a pioneer in the creation and application of innovative solutions for governments, businesses, foundations, and other organizations. The
Center for Technology in Learning (CTL) is a center within SRI dedicated to improving learning and teaching through innovation
and inquiry in computing and communication.
Our partner institution, Foothill College, is one of two community colleges in the the Foothill-DeAnza Community College District in Silicon Valley, CA. Foothill has an enrollment of about 17,400 students and offers 70 associate degree programs and 39 certificates to a diverse student population. It is a leading institution in assessment and accountability efforts to promote faculty use of portfolio assessments and "student learning outcomes" (SLOs).
