Customizable applet- beta version

Recently, members of the ESCOT team have been investigating ways to make the ESCOT EPoWs more accessible to teachers seeking to integrate the EPoWs into their curricula. One of the results of this investigation was a beta version of the Graph Zooming problem in which teachers can actually edit the applet itself, and customize it to better fit the material they are using in conjunction with the applet.

Right now, customizing the applet requires editing the code of the HTML file that contains the applet tag. Future versions of this problem will include a web page containing text entry boxes where teachers can input their modifications in normal language. These instructions will be transmitted to the applet at the click of a button, and a new page will be generated, incorporating the changes made to the applet.

Unfortunately, it will take some time before that system can be developed. The prospect of editing raw HTML or Java code can be daunting for most, so a manual is included which gives detailed instructions on how to edit the applet. Click here to view the manual.
