Developers

Developers use ESCOT to rapidly assemble activities composed of reusable components in the domain of middle school mathematics. Developers work in small teams with teachers and facilitators to design activities with well-motivated educational goals and grounded in standards. They assemble components using an authoring environment, the ESCOT Builder, and deploy the resulting activity on the Web. Examples of components available include graphs, charts, tables, simulation engines and a geometrical construction viewer. ESCOT supports interoperability, meaning that components share data, including numbers, strings, and more complex data structures.
